PRELIMINARY NOTICE: The President of the Republic will visit Hiiumaa24.07.2006
President Rüütel and Mrs. Rüütel will be on a working visit in Hiiumaa on July 26 and July 27 where they will acquaint themselves with local health care facilities, enterprises and development projects, and will open the Baltic 7 Youth Sports Games.
On Wednesday, July 26, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Rüütel will visit Sõru Harbour, the construction of Hiiumaa Information and Counselling Centre, Hiiumaa Hospital and Kärdla Health Centre, Hiiumaa Museum and Linnumäe recreation centre. President Rüütel will participate in a ceremony of signing sports agreements and will open the Baltic Sea Islands Youth Sports Games in Kärdla.
On July 27, President Rüütel and Mrs. Rüütel will visit Suuremõisa Technical School and Basic School, will acquaint themselves with Vaemla Wool Factory, Käina church and community centre, Orjaku Harbour, Dagen Haus holiday home and Kuriste church.
On Thursday evening, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Rüütel will go to Saaremaa where the head of state will hand over the village flag to Panga village. President and Mrs. Rüütel will also visit the Kuressaare Opera Days.
