The President of the Republic sent a letter of condolence on the occasion of the airplane crash

President Arnold Rüütel today in his address to President of the Republic of Cyprus Tassos Papadopoulos on his behalf and on behalf of the people of Estonia expressed deep condolence on the occasion of the airplane crash that happened near Athens.
The letter of condolence runs: "It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the terrible plain accident near Athens, where more than hundred of peoples lost their lives. I wish you and your people strength in recovering from this severe tragedy. Please convey my personal sympathy and the condolences of the entire Estonian nation to the families of the victims."
