The President of the Republic greeted carriers of the Song Festival Fire02.07.2004
 President Arnold Rüütel today in front of the Kadriorg Presidential Palace greeted the team who brought the Song Festival Fire, which had started its journey on 26 June in Tartu, to Tallinn. The Chairman of the Estonian Male Choirs Association, Jaan Ots, reported to the Head of State on the journey of the fire through Estonian counties.
The President of the Republic greeted the firebringers and thanked them for having kept the fire and carried it through Estonia. The Saaremaa Women's Choir "Piret" and the Saaremaa United Male Choir had come to greet the Song Festival Fire with a song.
From the Presidential Palace, the fire was brought to the Town Hall Square, where it was handed over to the Mayor of Tallinn.
