The President of the Republic met with representatives of Konstantin Päts Museum

President Rüütel today at Kadriorg received representatives of the NGO Konstantin Päts Museum.

The meeting discussed possibilities to perpetuate the memory of Konstantin Päts and other former Heads of State of the Republic of Estonia, and how to preserve the museum expositions dedicated to them. The Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the museum, historian Küllo Arjakas, thanked the President of the Republic for thus-far good cooperation.

The President of the Republic, who is patron of the celebrations to mark the 130th birthday of Konstantin Päts, and the First Lady today also visited an exhibition dedicated to the aforementioned occasion at the Academic Library of the Pedagogical University of Tallinn, where he told, among other things, how he in the summer of 1939 in Saaremaa had personally met President Päts.
