The President of the Republic met with the Prime Minister

For this afternoon, President Arnold Rüütel asked Prime Minister Siim Kallas to Paslepa to discuss with him the imminent crucial choices in Estonian domestic and foreign policy.
The Head of State informed the Prime Minister of his intention to start talks with political forces represented in the Parliament in order to fill as quickly as possible the post of Auditor General after the release from office of Juhan Parts.
At the meeting between the President and the Prime Minister also the preparations for the NATO Prague Summit in autumn were under discussion. Our preparations for the accession to NATO have been one of the most essential topics of conversation at President Rüütel`s meetings with heads of state and politicians of other aspirant countries.
