President Arnold Rüütel sent a letter to Jacques Chirac congratulating him on his re-election as the President of France.
"The French voters have reassured their commitment to European ideals that both France and Estonia will have to develop. I am confident that our countries have a fair chance to work together for the future of Europe," the President of the Republic noted in his congratulatory letter.
