The President of the United States of America is going to visit Estonia on November 28
07.09.2006

The President of the United States of America George W. Bush will arrive in Estonia for a visit at the end of November. On November 28, President Bush will meet with the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister in Tallinn. Following that, the President of the United States of America will leave Estonia for Riga where he will participate in the NATO Summit. President Bush will visit Estonia at the invitation of President Rüütel.

President Rüütel underlined the importance of the visit, as it is the first time in history for the US sitting head of state to visit Estonia. “I have met with President Bush several times and we have always had very pleasant discussions. Estonia highly values those long-term and close partnership relations that link us with the United States of America. I believe that the visit of President Bush will create additional opportunities for further broadening of bilateral relations between the two countries and for multilateral cooperation in various fields, including cooperation as NATO allies, but also cooperation for strengthening democracy in other states,” the Head of Estonian state remarked.
