The President of the Republic received a Scouts’ Friend Award

President Rüütel received a Scouts’ Friend Award.President Rüütel, today, at Kadriorg, met with Kristjan Pomm, Chief Scout of the Estonian Scout Association, Triinu Sagor, Chief Guide of the Estonian Guide Association, and Siimon Haamer, Camp Chief of the National Jamboree ''Rännumaa''.

The scout chiefs handed over to the President of the Republic a Scouts’ Friend Award as recognition of the support given by President Rüütel to the Estonian scout movement. The Head of State thanked for the high award and noted that scouts have a very important role in shaping the values of young people. The scout and guide movements also facilitate the active involvement of young people in society, the President of the Republic added.
