The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to Egypt03.02.2006
President Arnold Rüütel today sent a message of condolences to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Mohammed Hosni Mubarak. In his message, the President of the Republic, on behalf of himself and the people of Estonia, expressed condolences on the occasion of the Red Sea ferry disaster.
The message of condolences runs: “It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the disastrous ferry accident, where more than a thousand people lost their lives. I wish you and your people strength to overcome this terrible tragedy.”
