The President of the Republic sent condolences to Queen Elizabeth II
07.07.2005

President Arnold Rüütel in his message to the Head of State of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Queen Elizabeth II, extended on behalf of himself and the people of Estonia condolences on the occasion of today's bomb explosions in London, which caused numerous fatalities.

The message of condolences sent to Her Majesty runs: "It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the terrible terrorist attacks in London, where dozens of people lost their lives. There is no justification for terrorism in any form, these acts are inadmissible and unacceptable for human understanding. At these sad hours we stand next to you joining hands for stability and security of the whole world.

I wish you and your people strength in recovering from this awful tragedy. Please convey my personal sympathy and the condolences of the entire Estonian nation to the injured and the families of the victims."
