The President of the Republic met with the Ambassador of Nicaragua21.06.2005
 President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg received the credentials of the Ambassador of the Republic of Nicaragua, Dr. Ricardo José Alvarado Noguera.
In the words of President Rüütel Estonia intends to deepen its contacts with the countries of Central-America also through the Organisation of American States where Estonia holds the status of an observer. "Being represented on that level, we will certainly have a better overview of cooperation between American states, and better design our relations with Nicaragua," President Rüütel said.
According to Ambassador Noguera, he highly admires the rapid economic development in Estonia. He said that there were several sectors where Estonian and Nicaraguan entrepreneurs could collaborate together and establish a dynamic relationship of mutual benefit. The Ambassador added that Nicaragua was working hard to attract investments, create jobs, and deepen economic development.
