PRELIMINARY NOTICE: The President of the Republic to visit Põlva County06.06.2005
President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel will visit on June 8 - 9 Põlva County. The County Governor Urmas Klaas will meet the Head of State at the border of Põlva County.
The President of the Republic will begin his visit to Põlva County with a visit to Nordic Foods and Põlva Agro, and in company with the head of Põlva rural municipality will make a tour to the local Mammaste health trail. After that, the Head of State will visit Mooste Basic School and will acquaint himself with the building complex of Mooste Manor. In the afternoon, the President of the Republic will visit Fr. Tuglas Museum in Ahja, Maarja Village, and Käbliku Farm.
On Thursday morning, June 9, President Rüütel will visit Kanepi Church and the farm of Andres Kelner in Närapää village. Before noon of the same day, the President of the Republic will visit Räpina Paper Factory, Museum of Local Lore and Horticulture in Räpina, and will acquaint with the activities of Räpina Voluntary Education Society, after that, he will visit Sillapää Castle and park. In the afternoon, the Head of State will visit Seto Farm Museum in Värska and Värska Sanatorium where he will meet with the leaders of Põlva County's local authorities. The Head of State will conclude his visit to Põlva County with a visit to the Society of Lobotka Village.
