The President of the Republic met with the Chairman of the Centrist Party

President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg met with Edgar Savisaar, the Chairman of the Centrist Party.
The meeting addressed the situation in the state following the resignation of the Government. Edgar Savisaar introduced to the President of the Republic the current positions of the Centrist Party. President Rüütel stressed that for the sake of balanced development the political parties should demonstrate readiness to compromise.
The Head of State continues his consultations with the leaders of the parties represented in the Riigikogu.
