PRELIMINARY NOTICE: The President of the Republic leaves for a working visit to Poland

President Arnold Rüütel will leave on Wednesday, January 26, at the invitation of President Alexander Kwasniewski, for a working visit to the Republic of Poland to participate in the commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the liberation of the Auschwitz concentration camp at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oswiecim.

On Thursday, January 27, the President of the Republic will participate in a youth conference "Let My People Live", which will be held at Juliusz Slowack theatre in Krakow. The President of the Republic of Poland Alexander Kwasniewski will host a dinner in honour of the heads of official delegations.

In the afternoon of the same day, President Rüütel will participate in the commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Auschwitz concentration camp at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Oswiecim and will light a candle in memory of the victims of the concentration camp.

The delegation accompanying the head of Estonian state will include Aivo Orav, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Poland, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Marina Kaljurand, the Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia to Israel.

The President of the Republic will arrive back to Estonia from the visit on Friday, January 28.
