The President of the Republic met with Minister of Social Affairs21.12.2004
President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg met with the Minister of Social Affairs, Marko Pomerants and Assistant Minister Külvar Mand.
The meeting addressed the current situation and problems of health care organisation in Estonia, focusing on doctors leaving Estonia for abroad and salary agreements for medical professionals. Also the possibilities how to enhance interest towards sport for fitness were discussed. It was unanimously concluded that close cooperation between state agencies, health care institutions, local governments and the third sector played ever increasing role in securing the functioning of health care system and promoting healthy ways of life.
