The President of the Republic honoured Markko Märtin25.11.2004
 President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg presented rallier Markko Märtin with the IV Class Decoration of the Estonian Red Cross.
The President of the Republic said congratulating Märtin: "It is a pleasure to welcome here at Kadriorg one of the best Estonian sportsmen in the world, moreover, at present one of the most famous Estonians in the world. You have made Estonia bigger with your brave racing. Your sporting achievements have brought grand moments to Estonian homes. I thank you for it. I thank you for the example you have set to the young people with your dedication to sports."
The President of the Republic decided to honour Markko Märtin with the IV Class Decoration of the Estonian Red Cross on February 5, 2004 on the occasion of the Independence Day and to acknowledge the services to the Republic of Estonia.
