The President of the Republic attended the festival of military orchestras EST-TATOO12.11.2004
The President of the Republic and Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel today at Saku Arena attended a festival of military orchestras EST-TATOO.
In his greeting address President Rüütel congratulated everybody on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Estonian Defence Forces and the National Defence League. "The condition, level and reputation of the Defence Forces is a common concern of all the citizens of our state in order to carry patriotism of previous generations to future generations," said the President of the Republic.
President Rüütel noted that the well being of the Estonian people depends to a great extent on our army, on the capabilities of its regular service personnel and reservists. "The National Defence League, the voluntary membership of which is ever increasing and getting younger, vividly reflects an undaunted will to protect our people and country," said the Head of State.
The President of the Republic thanked all the participants, organizers and the audience.
