The President of the Republic met with a delegation of China's Consultative Conference18.10.2004
 President Rüütel today at Kadriorg received a delegation of CPPCC (the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference) let by its Vice Chairman Mrs. Liu Yandong.
Mrs. Liu Yandong termed the hitherto development of the Chinese-Estonian bilateral relations positive and acknowledged Estonia's success in implementing reforms. According to her, the People's Republic of China continued developing market economy and democracy step by step, and deemed it important that the country be governed on a scientific and democratic basis.
The President of the Republic expressed delight at the progress in relations between our two countries expanding more specifically upon our economic cooperation in the field of transit trade.
