The President of the Republic met the Ambassador of the Czech Republic

President Rüütel today at Kadriorg received the credentials of Ambassador of the Czech Republic Miloš Lexa.

According to the President of the Republic, the bilateral relations between Estonia and the Czechlands had been strengthened by their shared foreign policy priorities, the enlargement process of NATO and the European Union, and common goals in combating terrorism. "I do hope that in collaboration with you, Mr. Ambassador, we will identify new possibilities to increase reciprocal investments as well as to promote economic relations in their entirety," added President Rüütel.

Ambassador Lexa assured that the main aspiration of the Czech policy was to strengthen the relations between the two countries in all spheres of life. "There are still reserves. My task here in Tallinn will be to promote these efforts," said the Ambassador of the Czech Republic.

The President of the Republic wished Ambassador Lexa success in promoting the Estonian-Czech cooperation and friendship.
