The President of the Republic thanked the Ambassador of Belgium17.08.2004
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium, Johan Van Dessel, today at Kadriorg paid a farewell call on President Arnold Rüütel who thanked the Ambassador for his contribution to promoting cooperation between Estonia and Belgium.
The President of the Republic welcomed the Belgian decision to open in Estonia an embassy this very same year. According to President Rüütel, Estonia was very interested in a large-scale promotion of our existing good relations and various contacts with Belgium, and that at the level of both the Head of States, Governments, Parliaments and diverse authorities.
The Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium expressed his delight that he had had a chance to work in Estonia at a time when Estonia had experienced strong economic growth and become a Member of the European Union and NATO.
