The President of the Republic attended a feast on the occasion of the Day of the Assumption of the Virgin15.08.2004
President Rüütel and Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel today in the Estonian Open Air Museum attended a feast to mark the Day of the Assumption of the Virgin. Also the President of the Republic of Hungary, Ferenc Madl, and Mrs. Dalma Madl invited by the President of the Republic attended the event.
President Rüütel greeted feast participants, and together with the Hungarian President and some volunteers reaped rye, which he himself had sown on the previous Day of the Assumption of the Virgin.
The event ended with a dance party on the occasion of the 4th World Congress of Finno-Ugric Peoples.
The event was organized by the Estonian Open Air Museum, Fazer Pagarid and Leibur in collaboration with the Estonian Rye Association.
