PRELIMINARY NOTICE: The President of the Republic to make a county visit to Harjumaa

President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel from 10th to 11th August will be on a visit to the County of Harjumaa to see the county's enterprises, educational and cultural establishments, and to meet with local people.

Their two-day visit will start with calling in at the County Government of Harjumaa, where the President of the Republic is due to meet with County Governor Orm Valtson. In the morning, President Rüütel also is going to visit the Muraste Border Guard School, the Joint Stock Company Keila Kaabel and the Kopli Madise Farm. Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel will visit the Orphanage of Haiba, the Museum of Keila and the Basic School of Vasalemma.

In the afternoon, the President of the Republic and Mrs. Rüütel are going to visit the Town Government of Paldiski, a boat yard of the PLC Bell Boats, the Esko Farm in the Rural Municipality of Saku, the School of Kajamaa and the Farm Museum of Metsanurme, where they will meet with the Village Society of Kajamaa and the Association "Kodukant Harjumaa".

On Wednesday morning, the Head of State will familiarize himself with the Port of Muuga and the Joint Stock Company Balti Spoon. Mrs.Rüütel is going to visit the Boarding House of Merivälja, the Mihkli Farm in the Village of Rootsi-Kallavere, the Visitor' Centre of the Rebala Heritage Reserve and the Village Hall of Kuusalu. President Rüütel and Mrs. Rüütel also will visit the Village of Valkla, which in 2003 received the Tidy Village Award, and attend there a ceremony on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of the reopening of a local monument to the War of Independence.

In the afternoon, the President and the First Lady will meet with local government leaders of Harjumaa, visit the Kivi Tourist Farm and the farm of painter Ave Nahkur.
