The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the family of Heinrich Mark
05.08.2004

President Arnold Rüütel sent a message of condolences to the family of Heinrich Mark. The message of condolences runs:

"It was with deep sorrow that I learned of the death of Heinrich Mark, preserver of the continuity of the Republic of Estonia. This sad news touches Estonians across the world.

Heinrich Mark as an organizer of help and support for our compatriots, a leader of organisations bearing Estonian identity, a preserver of the continuity of the Republic of Estonia and a venerable statesman devoted his life to serving Estonia.

I believe to express the opinion of many of our compatriots proposing to lay Heinrich Marks's remains to rest in his native soil. His resting place could be the Forest Cemetery of Tallinn, where Estonia inters those who have rendered great services to our people and country. Should you agree to my proposal, I would be ready to render to you any conceivable assistance.

Please accept my deep-felt condolences."
