The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the King of Belgium

President Arnold Rüütel in his message sent to King Albert II of Belgium, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Estonian people expressed condolences to those injured in the gas explosion in Belgium and to the families of its victims.
The message of condolences runs: "I was profoundly shocked by the news of the tragic accident near Ath in which dozens of your compatriots perished. I wish you and your people fortitude to overcome this terrible tragedy."
