The President of the Republic to attend the funeral of the late Austrian President08.07.2004
President Rüütel tomorrow evening will travel to Vienna in order to attend the funeral of the former Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Thomas Klestil.
President Rüütel met with President Klestil on several occasions, and the two Heads of State were connected by a very warm and friendly personal relationship. In April 2002, President Klestil made an official visit to Estonia.
The President of the Republic will return to Estonia on Sunday.
