The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences upon the death of the President of Austria08.07.2004
President Arnold Rüütel today sent to Austria a message of condolences. The President of the Republic in his message on his own behalf and on behalf of all Estonians offered condolences to the people of Austria over the death of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Thomas Klestil.
The message of condolences runs: "It was with deep sorrow and grief that I learned of the death of the Federal President of the Republic of Austria, Dr. Thomas Klestil. Please convey my personal and all Estonians' sincere condolences to the family and loved ones of Dr. Thomas Klestil. Our thoughts are with you in your mourning. We will always remember Federal President Dr. Klestil as a highly recognized statesman and an active and brilliant politician."
