The President of the Republic congratulated President Adamkus02.07.2004
President Rüütel yesterday evening sent to Lithuanian President-elect Valdas Adamkus his congratulations on success in election. The President of the Republic expressed conviction that Lithuania and Estonia had many possibilities to work together for the sake of Europe's bright future.
The President of the Republic invited the newly elected Head of State of Lithuania to visit Estonia, and wished him and the whole of Lithuania success and happiness.
President Rüütel earlier today talked with President Adamkus on telephone, too.
The President of the Republic in this week has congratulated on the election as Head of State also the President of Iceland, Olafur Ragnar Grimsson, and the President of Serbia, Boris Tadic.
