The President of the Republic visited the Town of Haapsalu

President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs. Ingrid Rüütel today visited Haapsalu that this weekend is celebrating its 725th anniversary. The Head of State upon his arrival at Haapsalu was welcomed by Mayor Teet Kallasmaa and Chairman of the Town Council Andres Ammas. The President of the Republic attended the anniversary reception at the Haapsalu Kuursaal and a festive promenade concert featuring several top musicians born at Haapsalu.
President Rüütel also visited the home garden of Lunev family, which in the competition "Kaunis kodu 2003" (Beautiful Home) had received recognition as Haapsalu's most beautiful garden.
