The President of the Republic visited the City of Almaty03.06.2004
 President Arnold Rüütel on his official visit to Kazakhstan today visited the City of Almaty. The Estonian Head of State spoke at a business seminar organised by the local city government, where participants showed keen interest in developing economic relations with Estonia.
The President of the Republic also visited the Chimbulak Ski Resort and the Medeo Sport Complex in the vicinity of Almaty, and the Abylkhan Kasteyev Museum of Fine Arts, where he familiarized himself with works of art from Dutch School to Kazakh modern art exhibited there.
In Almaty's Park of Heroes President Rüütel met with representatives of local Estonians who talked about their life in Kazakhstan and took an interest in possibilities to study in Estonia.
The President of the Republic thereby completed his official visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan having lasted from June 1 to June 3. President Rüütel will arrive back in Estonia late this evening.
