The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the President of Finland19.03.2004
President Arnold Rüütel in his message extended to the President of the Republic of Finland, Tarja Halonen, on his own behalf and on behalf of the people of Estonia condolences over a tragic bus accident near Jyväskylä.
The message of condolences runs: "We were profoundly shocked by the news of this accident, which confirmed once more that human life is very fragile and me must do our utmost to keep and preserve it. At these difficult moments, we stand next to you in mourning for the children perished in the accident. We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to their families, loved ones, friends, acquaintances and the whole people of Finland."
