The President of the Republic sent a message of condolences to the President of Russia06.02.2004
President Arnold Rüütel in his message sent to Russian President Vladimir Putin, on his own behalf and on behalf of the people of Estonia, extended sympathies and condolences to those suffered in and the families of victims of the tragic accident on the Moscow underground.
The message of condolence runs as follows: "I was profoundly shocked by the news of the accident on the Moscow underground in which dozens of Russian nationals were killed. I wish you and your people strength to overcome this terrible tragedy."
