The President of the Republic to proclaim Year of the Estonian Flag01.02.2004
President Arnold Rüütel on 2 February will proclaim 2004 the Year of the Estonian Flag. In this year, it will be 120 years since the blue-black-white flag was consecrated in the church of Otepää.
The events to mark the 84th anniversary of the signing of the Peace Treaty of Tartu will be launched on 2 February at 11:00 a.m. in front of the house at Vanemuise Street 35 where the President of the Republic, Chairwoman of the Riigikogu Ene Ergma and Prime Minister Juhan Parts will give speeches.
The proclamation of the Year of the Estonian Flag will mark the start of celebrations on the occasion of the 84th anniversary of the Peace of Tartu. It is an open event and all those interested are welcome.
The President of the Republic will deliver a speech also at the concert dedicated to the 84th anniversary of the Peace of Tartu going to take place in the evening of February 2 at the Concert Hall Estonia.
