The President of the Republic met the Auditor General20.01.2004
President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg met with Auditor General Mihkel Oviir.
The Auditor General informed the President of his activities in 2003. President Rüütel took interest in measures guaranteeing that EU funds were spent in a legitimate way. The Auditor General, in addition, told the President that the Riigikogu in the near future intended to set up a cooperation committee to deal with audit reports of the State Audit Office. At the end of their pleasant and businesslike meeting, alsothis year's activities of the State Audit Office were under discussion.
