The President of the Republic met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs20.11.2003
President Rüütel today at Kadriorg met Foreign Minister Kristiina Ojuland in order to discuss with her the issues of joining the European Union and NATO.
Foreign Minister Kristiina Ojuland talked to the President of the Republic about the work of the Government prior to Estonias accession to the European Union and NATO. President Rüütel emphasized that it was most important to Estonia, with a view to standing up for its interests in the European Union, to take part in cooperation among small countries.
Their meeting also addressed Estonias participation in NATO multinational operations.
