According to the President of the Republic, both countries attached importance to cooperation among small countries in shaping the future of the European Union.
The Estonian Head of State deemed it possible to develop also economic relations between the two countries, notably in the field of tourism since both the Estonians and the Maltese were interested in the distinctiveness of each other's countries.
