The President of the Republic to attend the Baltic Development Forum03.10.2003
President Rüütel Sunday evening will leave for Latvia to attend in Riga the 5th Summit of the Baltic Development Forum due on Monday. The President of the Republic will give a talk at the forum and meet with the Presidents of Latvia and Lithuania.
On Monday morning, President Rüütel together with the other two Baltic Presidents will meet Uffe Ellemann-Jensen, the Chairman of the Baltic Development Forum and former Foreign Minister of Denmark.
After the meeting, the President of the Republic will deliver a speech at the Presidents Plenary Session of the Baltic Development Forum "What is Old and what is New? Europe after the Enlargement of the European Union."
At noon, a meeting and a joint press conference of the three Baltic Presidents will take place.
President Rüütel will return to Estonia in the afternoon of October 7.
