The President of the Republic visited Occupation Museum02.07.2003
President Arnol Rüütel this afternoon visited the Estonian Museum of Recent Occupations.
The Chairman of the Board of Kistler-Ritsos Estonian Foundation, Museums Curator Heiki Ahonen, and Museum's Research Coordinator Enn Tarvel gave to the Head of State explanations of the museum's exposition and planned research work.
On the museum's opening day, June 27, President Rüütel was on a working visit to France and, therefore, could not attend the opening ceremony of the museum. The President today extended his gratitude to all the initiators of the museum, in the first place, Dr. Olga Kistler-Ritso, and wished the researches and preservers of the Estonian recent history much strength.
