The President of the Republic is in the County of Järva

President Arnold Rüütel today is on a one-day tour of Järva County.

In the morning, the Head of State on the border of the county was welcomed by the Acting County Governor, Tähve Milt. From there, they headed together for the rural municipality of Koeru to visit Konesco, a metal processing enterprise using technologies of international standing, producing for export and employing more than 120 persons. From the former Koeru Autoremonditehas (a truck repair plant), also some other enterprises have emerged forming an industrial village now.

Before noon, the President in the municipality house of Koeru met with Järva County’s local government leaders and employees of the county government. In the afternoon at Türi, the Head of State called at the Estonian Broadcasting Museum and the Town Museum of Türi. Thereafter, they proceeded to the Scout Camp of Tagametsa. This permanent scout camp, turning into a national youth centre, has been developed for five years already, supported by Estonians living in Sweden.

Later in the afternoon, the President will visit Arvo and Aivi Kuutok’s farm in the rural municipality of Türi.
