The President of the Republic congratulated Mihkel Oviir

President Arnold Rüütel today called Mihkel Oviir having been appointed to the office of Auditor General and congratulated him on the Riigikogus resolution.
The President of the Republic expressed satisfaction that the Riigikogu had realized the need to rapidly fill the office of Auditor General and made this statesmanlike decision almost unanimously. The Head of State wished the new Auditor General success in his new post and staying power in performing his duties.
