The President of the Republic receives congratulations on the Independence Day23.02.2003
President Arnold Rüütel from all over the world has received a multitude of congratulations on the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.
From the Heads of State, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, President of France Jacques Chirac, President of Hungary Ferenc Mádl, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Germany Johannes Rau, President of the United States of America George W. Bush, Emperor Akihito of Japan, President of China Jiang Zemin, President of Croatia Stjepan Mesić, President of Israel Moshe Katzav, President of Italy Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, President of Poland Aleksander Kwasniewski, and many others have sent their congratulations.
Also Patriarch Alexy II of Moscow and All Russia has sent his congratulations to the Head of State of Estonia. President Rüütel has received many congratulations on the Independence Day from residents and establishments of Estonia as well.
