The President of the Republic met with Mauno Koivisto26.11.2002
The President of the Republic and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel today at Kadriorg received Mauno Koivisto, former long-time President of the Republic of Finland, and his spouse, Mrs Tellervo Koivisto.
The Presidents at dinner table talked about processes having over the last two decades taken place in Europe and at the Gulf of Finland, in which they themselves had participated as two of the key-figures, and reminisced about their former meetings as heads of state.
President Mauno Koivisto is visiting Estonia due to the publication and presentation of an Estonian edition of his book "Vene idee" (The Russian Idea). President Koivisto gave his book as a gift also to the Estonian Head of State.
