The President of the Republic honoured the Ambassador of Lithuania25.09.2002
President Arnold Rüütel today at Kadriorg signed the resolution conferring on the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Estonia in the years 1997-2002, Rimantas Juozapas Tonkūnas, for his services to the Estonian state the I Class Order of the Cross of Terra Mariana.
