The President of the Republic met with the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces10.09.2002
President Arnold Rüütel yesterday evening at Kadriorg met the Supreme Commander of the Swedish Armed Forces, General Johan Hederstedt, discussing with him the advancement of defence cooperation between Estonia and Sweden.
President Rüütel thanked Sweden for its all-round support to our preparations for joining NATO and valued highly Sweden's assistance providing the Defence Forces of Estonia with training and equipment.
In the meeting, also the Commander of the Estonian Defence Forces, Vice Admiral Tarmo Kõuts, took part.
