The President of the Republic presented General Einseln with an order22.06.2002
 President Arnold Rüütel today, on the occasion of the Victory day, presented General Aleksander Einseln with the I Class Order of the Cross of the Eagle that had been conferred on him on February 16, 1996, for his services in building up the national defence of Estonia.
At the honouring ceremony, the President recalled how he early in the 1990-s had requested Aleksander Einseln to help in building the Defence Forces of the Republic of Estonia. The President thanked the General for having accepted his request those days and for having helped to create the national defence of Estonia. According to the President, also the order just having been presented attested to our gratitude.
General Einseln in his words of thanks assured that it was a great honour and pleasure for him to receive this order from President Rüütel just before the Victory Day.
