The President of the Republic is continuing his visit to the Kingdom of Norway11.04.2002
This morning, the President of the Republic and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel together with King Harald and Queen Sonja of Norway flew to Bergen. The Estonian Presidental Couple and the Norwegian Royal Couple toured the Hanseatic quarter, dating back to the 18th century, and visited the Hanseatic Museum.Together, they also visited the Norwegian Institute for Marine Research which is co-operating with the Estonian Marine Institute.
The Norwegian Minister of Fisheries, Svein Ludvigsen, on behalf of the Norwegian Government hosted a dinner in honour of King Harald and Queen Sonja, and President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel in Bergen.
In the afternoon, the Estonian Head of State and King Harald will visit the house of Edvard Grieg, Norwegian composer, and his wife, singer Nina Grieg at Troldhaugen.
In the evening, the President of the Republic, together with the accompanying official and business delegations, will fly back to Tallinn.
