The President of the Republic is in Tartu07.03.2002
President Arnold Rüütel will deliver a lecture at the Assembly Hall of the Estonian Agricultural University of in Tartu today; the President will also visit the Ministry of Education and have a meeting with Andrus Ansip, the Mayor of Tartu.
In his lecture, the Head of State will focus on three subjects: education, agricultural education, and agriculture in Estonia. The lecture will begin at the Assembly Hall of the Agricultural University of at 10.15 AM.
In the afternoon, the President will visit the Ministry of Education to continue the discussion on vocational training, on the failure of pupils to attend schools, and on boarding school opportunities with Mailis Rand begun this Monday.
The President will also be in Tartu tomorrow, in order to deliver a welcoming address on the conference "Family Farm the Source of the Estonian Vitality". The conference is organised by the Estonian Academic Agricultural Society, the Union of the Cultural Societies of Estonia, the Central Union of Farmers, and the Agricultural University.
