Congratulations to the President of the Republic on the Independence Day keep arriving

More than fifty Heads of State have sent President Rüütel their congratulations on the 84th anniversary of the Republic of Estonia.

Bush, President of France Jacques Chirac, President of Finland Tarja Halonen, President of Russia Vladimir Putin, President of Poland Aleksander Kwaśniewski, President of Germany Johannes Rau, President of Austria Thomas Klestil, President of Switzerland Kaspar Villiger, President of Cyprus Glafcos Clerides, President of Portugal Jorge Sampaio, President of Bosnia and Herzegovina Beriz Belkic, President of the United States of Mexico Vicente Fox Quesada, President of Korea Kim Dae-jung, President of Ukraine Leonid Kutšma, President of Italy Carlo Azeglio Ciampi, President of Iceland Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, President of China Jiang Zemin, President of Lithuania Valdas Adamkus, President of Hungary Ferenc Mádl, Governor General of Canada Adrienne Clarkson, President of Ireland Mary McAleese, President of Greece Constantinos Stephanopoulos, President of Israel Moshe Katsav, President of Georgia Eduard Ševardnadze, President of Slovenia Milan Kučan and many others have sent the President their congratulations.

Estonia has been congratulated on its National Day also by Queen Margarethe II of Denmark, Emperor Akihito of Japan, King Juan Carlos of Spain, Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, King Albert II of Belgium, King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden, Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands, King Mohammed VI of Morocco and King Abdullah II of Jordan.

Congratulations from Heads of State continue to arrive at the Office of the President.

Pope John Paul II and Secretary-General of the United Nations Kofi A. Annan have sent their congratulations on our National Day likewise.

Many schools and kindergartens in Estonia have sent to the President beautiful greetings cards. So, the President has been greeted by Kohtla-Järve General High School, Paistu Basic School and the kindergarten Männi of Tallinn. Many inhabitants and establishments of Estonia have sent their congratulations as well.
