The President of the Republic met with a delegation of the Estonian Reserve Officer's Association01.02.2002
President Arnold Rüütel received a delegation of the Estonian Reserve Officer's Association at Kadriorg today. The Chairman of the association, Captain Lauri Einre, introduced to the President the history, objectives and activities of the organization.
Since the association, in parallel with uniting the Estonian reserve officers and contributing actively to the organisation of national defence, has committed itself to shaping the defence will of the people, the President exchanged with the officers ideas just on this subject.
The President praised the members of the Estonian Reserve Officer's Association for having shouldered the task of teaching the subject of national defence at schools. According to the President, it is desirable that every reserve officer also would share his experience and knowledge with members of the National Defence League.
The President of the Republic spoke out for establishing regular contacts between his team and the reserve officers to jointly discuss also in future the issues of national defence.
