The President of the Republic had a meeting with Märt Rask, the Minister of Justice28.11.2001
President Arnold Rüütel had a meeting with the Minister of Justice Märt Rask at the presidential palace of Kadriorg today. On the meeting, the issues of court organisation and the independence of courts were discussed in connection with the draft Courts Act that is currently handled in the Riigikogu; also the needs and possibilities for amending the Constitution were addressed. The President of the Republic and the Minister of Justice also exchanged thoughts on establishing legal guarantees for the use of the Estonian language as the national language.
