The President of the Republic met with His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales05.11.2001
 President Arnold Rüütel received His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales in the Kadriorg Presidential Palace today.
Contacts between Estonia and Great Britain, participation of the British Navy in our War of Independence, support of the British top politicians to our regaining of independence, but also the current situation of Estonian agriculture, development prospects of forest management and other issues were talked about during the meeting. The President of the Republic of Estonia Arnold Rüütel noted that the territory of Estonia was at the northernmost border of ancient farming areas, therefore crop farming has long traditions and interesting development history here.
But now that the Estonian land has rested from intense crop farming, it is quite suitable for the development of organic agriculture and exporting of pure natural agricultural products.
The President of Estonia gave the prints of the artist Malle Leis "Windy day" and "Horizons" to Prince Charles as a present.
In the evening, President Arnold Rüütel and Mrs Ingrid Rüütel will give a festive dinner in the honour of His Royal Highness Prince of Wales in the Gloria Restaurant in Tallinn.
